Bessie Clark Morant Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
The Bessie Clark Morant Foundation is committed to providing opportunities that foster family and community engagement in education. Eligible high school seniors are encouraged to apply for the Bessie Clark Morant Foundation Scholarship. Applications are due July 1st. The BCMF Scholarship supports first-year undergraduate students with the purchase of books and study materials.

Qualifications for BCMF Scholarship
Winners of the scholarship are selected based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community service, and demonstrated leadership potential:
A completed application must be received by July 1st.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale as evidenced by submission of an official high school transcript
- A written narrative description of educational and career objectives, extracurricular involvements, leadership activity, and community service
- A 1 minute video answering the following question: “How will you use your education to help your community?”
- Two letters of recommendation from a high school faculty member/adviser and an employer/family friend
- A recent head shot photo
